Megan Carlton is a veteran teacher, who knows from first-hand experience the transformative power of education. Megan has supported the work of the Congo Restoration for years, but it was not until a visit to the Congo in 2023 that she realized the true impact of the Congo Restoration’s mission. During her time in the Congo, Megan witnessed first-hand the hope and joy of the Sewing School students and the primary school girls. While in the Congo, she was reminded of the truth of Nelson Mandela’s words:
“ Education is the most powerful weapon through which you can use to change the world”
Megan’s contribution to Comgo Restoration is invaluable. She serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors and has devoted untold hours working on grant applications on behalf of the organization.
In addition to her passion and commitment to public education, Megan also volunteers with the refugee community of Dallas. As a Welcome Team Lead, Megan helps to provide newly arrived refugee families with a warm and welcoming home.
