Claire Stein describers herself as “a mother of two boys in college, a teacher of children with learning differences, and a person who still believes that world peace is possible.”

But she knows that peace won’t happen on its own, and she considers her service to Congo Restoration as her contribution to the cause.

As an educator, Clare’s professional guidance has been invaluable to the organization as we opened the sewing school and the primary school. As Congo Restoration’s first Treasurer, she was instrumental in organizing our finances and securing non-profit status. Clare also volunteers with Northridge Without Borders, a mission of Northridge Presbyterian Church focused on supporting refugees who settle in Dallas. She has served on the Congo Restoration Board of Directors for more than 10 years, and she is passionately committed to empowering women and girls through education.
